Thank you to Kizmos for providing some cook’s tools for use in creating this recipe and as a giveaway prize for my readers. All opinions and thoughts expressed here are my own.
It is H-O-T outside. With the heat comes the desire to avoid cooking anything…especially if it means turning on an oven. BUT, summer also brings a lot of picnics, BBQs and get togethers so I bet you’re often still on the hook for a dessert. How about making the ultimate in no bake desserts: an ice cream pizza?
What You’ll Need:
– 1 quart vanilla ice cream
– 2 jars strawberry ice cream topping
– 2 squares of white chocolate
– Toppings such as cherry discs, M&Ms, etc.
– Pizza pan {I got mine from the dollar store so I could throw it away}
Let’s Make It:
1) Let the vanilla ice cream soften a bit and then spread an even layer into the pizza pan to create the pizza “crust”. Freeze in the freezer for about 1 hour until very firm.
2) Spread strawberry topping evenly on top of the crust leaving about a half inch border around the edge. Put back in the freezer for 1-2 additional hours.
3) Using a peeler {how cute is that Kizmos smiley face peeler by the way?! It makes me want to smile everytime I see it}, shave pieces of chocolate off the block onto the top of the pizza.
4) Top with any toppings you choose and put back in the freezer until ready to serve.
When you are ready to serve, grab a pizza cutter and cut just like you would a regular pizza. Enjoy!
