Doesn’t matter if they are for breakfast or dessert, German Chocolate Waffles are so delicious and perfect for a sweet treat that everyone will love!
We have been snowed in for a few days and finally got out today! We did a quick trip to the grocery store and, of course, grabbed a latte for me. Three days with no latte was just too many. Every since I made the chocolate waffle and fruit bites, I had been craving chocolate waffles for myself!
While we were at the store, I grabbed a few supplies so I could make German Chocolate Waffles. These chocolate waffles make a fabulous special breakfast. Or, serve them for dessert topped with whipped cream and rich chocolate syrup. Either way, grab a fork and get ready to dig in.

Using the waffle maker to make dessert sure is fun, With our new waffle/cake pops/mini doughnut maker we’ve made chocolate waffles and served a quarter of a round one with a scoop of icecream on top for dessert at our Friday night shabbat meal. It was great! thanks for sharing on craft schooling sunday!

I’d never thought to make waffles with a box of cake mix – who knew!
Here in the UK around Christmas we get a lot of German markets set up in towns where you can get all sorts of amazing goodies, gingerbreads, mulled wines and those huge round waffles half dipped in chocolate. A – mazing!

Cake mix makes it so easy!
We have German au pairs who come and live us with each year and I always love hearing about the markets. So fun that they are in the UK too.

Ooh, those look so good! You could even sprinkle a little bit of dried coconut on top. I’ve never tried cake mix in the waffle iron before.
