If you follow me on Facebook, you probably know that I got new toy recently…a Silhouette Cameo.
Isn’t it beautiful?!
Now, this was my first Silhouette so I was super excited to get it. {Not that past Silhouette owners probably weren’t excited too.} My first undertaking was some framed “art” to go above the table in my entry way. Currently, we have some art from Crate and Barrel that I love but, with its bright blues, yellows and greens, it doesn’t really blend with the Christmas decorations. So, I decided to replace it with something a little more seasonal.
First, I picked some cheap frames during our Black Friday shopping.
Then, using the Cameo, I cut out the letters N-O-E-L {for Noel} from some glittery white scrapbook paper.
I currently have a set of 5 pictures on the wall so I knew I would need something else. So, I cut out a Christmas tree from some green paper.
I layered the white letters on top of green textured scrapbook paper and then put them into frames.
For the Christmas tree, I used the outline instead of the entire tree. Then, I layered that over white glitter paper that matched the letters and framed.
I put up the lower two frames but then had to enlist our very tall friend to help me with the others because Mathlete wasn’t home and I didn’t want to drag the ladder inside. {Laziness for the win!}

What a cute idea. And I love that tabletop arrangement below the “Noel,” too!

So jealous! I want one as well, but I’m fairly certain Andrew will NOT let me get yet another toy for my crafts. 🙂
