I have never really been on to decorate for St. Patrick’s Day. Sure, I wear green and make sure to dress the kiddos in green too. The house, however, typically gets neglected. This year, I at least threw together a wreath {on the cheap no less} so the house could feel “Lucky” this year too.
A few weeks ago, I was running through Target and happened to spot some bright green piles of something in the $1 Spot. I made a quick detour from my beeline to the diaper section to check it out. The pile of fabric was actually a bunch of boas made out of green fabric.
I picked up a few of them knowing I had a spare wreath form at the house that I could put them to use on.
Some hot glue and wrapping later and I had a sparkly green wreath for about $3 {well, maybe a little more if you count the $4 I paid for the wreath form that I already had in my stash}.
It looks a little bare to me though so I just tossed it aside while I thought of what else to do it. I quick trip the grocery store a few days later proved to be fateful. I happened to spot a green shamrock greeting card out of the corner of my eye. Perfect!
I simply punched a hole in the top of the card and tied it to my wreath. Easy peasy.
