We don’t do a whole lot of St Patrick’s Day crafts in our house. We aren’t Irish or anything so I typically add a few touches of green around the house and then get started on the Easter decor. I try to always change the wreath on the door though and, like last year, I made a new wreath for the holiday.
This wreath, like any yarn wreath, took a little time but no major effort to come together. I started by tying my yarn around the wreath form.
Then, I spent an exciting night on the couch wrapping the yarn around it and watching reruns of Law & Order: SVU. Boo-yah…a few episodes later and I had this:
I had picked up some clover ribbon so I just added that as a layer to my wreath.
Then, I wanted just a little something extra so I glued on two little shamrocks from a necklace I had found.
Have you made any St Patrick’s Day crafts yet? Do you typically decorate for the holiday in a big way or just a few small pieces around the house?

Great wreath! I still haven’t tried making a yarn wrapped wreath but one of these days I will!

What a fun and festive wreath. I love the shamrocks you added AND the ribbon you used. Of all the projects I’ve done, I’ve never made a wreath…but you make me want to 🙂
