If you love Strawberry Prosecco Cake Pops, check out these easy cake ball recipes:
- Spring Flower Cake Balls
- Peppermint Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies
- Rainbow Layer Cake with Buttercream Frosting
Essential items for this recipe:
- Stand mixer
- Cake pan
- Lollipop sticks
- 1 box Strawberry Cake Mix
- 1/3 cup Regular Plain Yogurt
- 1 1/3 cup Prosecco
- 3 Eggs
- 1 cup Prosecco Buttercream Frosting
- Lollipop Sticks
- Wilton Candy Melts
-
Preheat oven according to box directions.
-
Mix cake mix, yogurt and eggs at medium speed until fully combined. Slowly pour in prosecco with mixer on low.
-
Pour cake mix into prepared cake pan and bake according to box directions. Remove from oven and leave over night.
-
Crumble cake into crumbs {you can use your processor if you want...I used a 5 year old who wanted to play with the cake}. Add in 1 cup of prosecco buttercream frosting and mix well. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
-
Roll 2 Tbsp of cake and frosting mixture into balls and place on nonstick surface. Stick lollipop stick in the top of each ball.
-
Melt Wilton candy melts in microwave according to package directions {30 second on 50% power, stir, 10 second intervals until fully melted}.
-
Dip cake balls into melted candy and place back on nonstick surface until hardened.
- For this recipe, I recommend just making a 9x13 cake versus cupcakes.
