With every season change {and sometimes more often}, I like to change the wreath on our front door. Most often, this comes in the form of a ribbon wreath.
Now, spring has been here for a little while but our very brown winter wreath was still hanging out on the front door. So, this weekend, I decided it was time to infuse a little color out there. Of course, I stopped over on Pinterest for a little inspiration.
Then, I made mine.
Obviously, this wreath is about as uncomplicated as you can get but I love the bright colors mixed with the white felt flowers so I wanted to share.
I started with a wreath form and wrapped it in the green satin ribbon. Note to self: always buy an extra spool of ribbon! I actually started this a few weeks ago but ran out of ribbon so it just sat on my table waiting for completion.
Once the wreath was wrapped, I made my felt flowers. These are super easy and allow you to get more than one flower out of each piece of felt.
A quick tutorial:
Cut the felt into strips. I don’t measure mine but just try to make the line straight as I got across.
Fold each strip in half and hot glue closed. For a bigger flower, I just hot glue two strips together before I fold.
On the folded side, cut the felt part of the way through. DO NOT cut all the way through the glue portion.
Roll in a circle securing with glue as you go along.
Attach to your project and donezo!
Have you been working on any wreaths lately?

Awwww…you are too kind. Spring totally snuck on my this year so I didn’t get to spend any time making my rosette wreath that I had planned. Maybe for fall 🙂

They are definitely my favorite to make because they are so easy and use very little felt.
