Remember me telling you all about how much Mathlete loves a Reuben sandwich and my solution was to make him Reuben Dip? Well, someone wasn’t entirely happy with just having a dip made with the flavors of his favorite sandwich. Of course, the easiest thing to do would be to just make him a Reuben…or even take him somewhere to buy one. Instead, I decided to make Reuben sliders.
Before we get to far into this recipe, I will be admit that these sliders are more Reuben-esque because I had the hardest time finding a good rye roll that would be perfect for sliders. So, they are missing the Rye part of the Reuben. Forgive me, please.
Let’s talk about the awesome flavors these sliders do have though: Russian dressing, swiss cheese, corned beef, Sauerkraut…yum {well, I skipped the Sauerkraut on mine but still}.
- 10 Sister Shubert's Dinner Rolls {these were just the best size}
- 1/4 cup Russian dressing
- 12 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 lb corned beef shaved
- 3/4 cup Sauerkraut
-
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheet with foil and place frozen rolls on top. Bake for 5 minutes.
-
Slice rolls in half and spread Russian dressing on the top and bottom of the roll. Top bottom of each roll with half a slice of Swiss cheese, some corned beef and 2 Tbsp of Sauerkraut. Add other half of Swiss cheese slice and top of roll.
-
Bake in the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes or until cheese is melted.
What is your favorite sandwich?
