I have an addiction. I can’t complain too much because it a pretty healthy one but I just can’t get enough of it. Confession: I am in love with roasted broccoli. You will be in love too once you try this easy roasted broccoli recipe.
I know that roasting broccoli seems like such a common thing but it wasn’t until recently that I tried it. I was instantly in love and started making it almost weekly. Even the kids love it which is a total win to get a green vegetable in the mouth of either of my kids. I think the secret is making sure you add the right amount of salt and the addition of a little bit of orange peel at the end.
Easy Roasted Broccoli Ingredients:
2-3 heads broccoli, cut into florets
2 Tbsp oil {I use avocado}
1 tsp sea salt
2 Tbsp grated orange peel
Let’s Make It:
1) Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
2) Add broccoli florets to pan and drizzle with oil. Toss to coat broccoli with oil. Sprinkle with sea salt.
3) Put pan in oven and cook for 10-15 minutes or until bright green and some pieces are slightly charred {the time depends on how large your pieces were cut}. Remove from oven and top with grated orange peel.
This is hands down my favorite way to cook broccoli now. I use to exclusively use the steam in bag versions and, while those are still good, this is the best. I usually make extra in each recipe so I have some for lunch the next day or just to have around as a healthy snack.
