I am excited to work with Sears to share with you ideas to make your life run a little smoother. While this post is sponsored, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Life gets busy and we can all use just about any little bit of help we can get. Am I right? I know that, with 2 kids, a full time job and my blog, any little thing that can make my life easier or save me time is a major bonus. I figure there are a lot of others just like me so I’m sharing 5 easy kitchen hacks to make your life just a little easier.
These may seem like small things but when you start doing them, you will find they either save you time or make some things just a little bit easier to accomplish.
1. Create a dishwasher system.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve accidentally put a dirty bowl in a dishwasher full of clean dishes or forgotten to start the dishwasher at night. We created an easy little system where you flip a little thing over on our dishwasher to show if they are clean or dirty. It seems like such a simple idea but it really makes a difference in make sure we remember to turn the dishwasher on and put the dishes away before they get dirty again. The Kenmore Pro line from Sears Home Appliances and Services offers a great feature where you can even postpone the dishwasher to start after the family is asleep.
2. Create storage in unexpected places.
We use our double oven for holidays and parties but, for most days, the lower oven doesn’t see much action. So, I use it store my cookie pans and cooling racks when it isn’t in use. It frees up some cabinet space which we are always in desperate need of.
3. Make your refrigerator kid friendly.
Let the kids take over their lunch packing and snack getting by creating a place within the refrigerator that they can easily access to get juice boxes, healthy snacks and anything else they need. It only takes a few minutes to do but makes a HUGE difference on a daily basis.
4. Create a condiment center on your table.
It never fails that the kids need 100 things the moment I finally sit down for dinner. I keep a small basket in the center of our table with 1-2 extra pieces of flatware, straws, napkins, salt and pepper in it to try and keep me from getting up and down a ton of times during dinner to make sure everyone has what they need.
5. Find the Right Appliances for Your Needs
