Don’t you love a good cookie? I know, that is a trick question because I don’t know many people who don’t love cookies. This post is definitely for all those cookie lovers because I am about to blow your mind with this hazelnut stuffed cookie skillet.
This cookie skillet is big enough for 2 or 3 but you will get no judgment from me if you decide not to share. Go ahead and enjoy this warm chocolate chip cookie stuffed with Ferrero Rocher candies.
I use homemade cookie dough for the skillet but you can use the premade cookie dough if you prefer. When I tried it with premade cookie dough, it took about 3/4 of a package of the pre-portioned cookie dough pieces. Just flatten them really well before you create the skillet.
Hazelnut Stuffed Cookie Skillet Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 sticks butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 ts vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup dark chocolate chips
4 Ferrero Rocher candies
Let’s Make It:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2) In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
3) Using a mixer, beat together butter and both sugars. Stir in vanilla extract and eggs. Working in batches, add flour mixture to butter mixture mixing until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips.
4) Open Ferrero Rocher candies and smash with hand to flatten.
5) Press thin layer of cookie dough into bottom of cast iron skillet. Top with flattened candies. Top with another thin layer of cookie dough. {Note: you will have cookie dough left over if you are using a small skillet like mine}
6) Bake cookie in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned and set in the middle.
I top my cookie skillet with whipped cream and a little extra chocolate syrup for the ultimate treat {well, only on the days I go to boot camp}. If you have vanilla ice cream in the house, it would take this dessert for delicious to AH-MAZING so keep that in mind when you are shopping for your ingredients.
What are your favorite cookies? Do you like baking cookies in a skillet versus on a traditional cookie sheet?

This is dangerous to read before I’ve eaten dinner. I might be about to make some bad dietary decisions. O.o But, this just looks too amazing! I especially like the added whipped cream. That’s exactly what I’d do!
