So, November totally flew by! It was like I packaged up the Halloween decorations and now I am pulling out my snowmen and Christmas items. This blog started with the making of a wreath {and then a ton of wreathes after that} so I like to be sure and share the newest wreath I make each year for Christmas. This year, I am going for a pretty traditional and rustic feel so my burlap and plaid Christmas wreath fits in perfectly.
I go back and forth between types of wreath forms just about every time I make a new one. This time, I went with an 18 inch Styrofoam wreath form. The ribbon is a plaid green, red and gold ribbon I found at the craft store. I try to avoid using wired ribbon in wreathes like this but I loved the pattern so much that I decided to make it work. I just use a touch of hot glue on the beginning and end of the ribbon to keep it secure.
Little floral picks are a great addition to any wreath. The evergreen and holly ones are perfect for Christmas all the way through winter too.
The bow was the other pieces that I fell in love with and knew I had to put it on the wreath. It is made out of a shimmery gold burlap.
I secured everything with a healthy dose of hot glue {man, what would I do without my hot glue gun?!} and then took it to the front door so it could hang in its new home.
Have you made any Christmas decorations yet? I am so excited to be putting out mine a little bit at the time.
While you are doing your holiday crafting and decorating, consider making some of this delicious holiday fudge to enjoy while you are working.
