A little while back I got a mirror and I was in love. It was the perfect size and shape for the space I wanted to put it in.
I hung the mirror immediately {or as immediate as anything happens in our house which is to say 2 months later} and I fell out of love a little. Not like kick it to the curb out of love…more like we need to rekindle that spark.
Now, if this were a real relationship, the mirror and I would go out on a date or maybe away for the weekend to rekindle that initial feeling of love. The mirror is a little on the spindly side though and pretty fragile which makes car travel difficult. Our other option would be counseling.
Enter our relationship counselor:
I’m sorry mirror. Its not me, it is you.
I wrapped up the glass portion of the mirror to protect it from the paint and we took a trip outside.
One coat followed by a nap {for me, not the mirror}
Then, the second coat and I was in love again!

That turned out great! Love the cute story too! I have a big brass metal swan that is in storage. I’ve thought about painting it but was afraid to take the leap! This may be the inspiration needed!
