Delicious Recipes to Keep my Family of Four Happy and Full
Can you believe it is April already? It is sort of shocking how quickly March flew by. April is usually a fun time of year with the change to Spring along with Easter fun. Unfortunately, April always brings taxes with it.
This year, we finally broke down and had a CPA complete our taxes. With the rental property and some other stuff going on financially, I just felt like I was out of my league for completing them and getting it exactly right. This way, someone else is responsible for all that.
Have you started your taxes yet?
If not, remember you only have 15 more days to get it done! Need a little help getting started? H & R Block and Turbo Tax are there for you. Check out the details by clicking either of the links below.

I’ve been kind of busy around here so I haven’t spent quite as much time on Pinterest as I usually do. One thing caught my eye recently though…you might have seen it: frozen yogurt bites.
My little ones L-O-V-E yogurt so I thought this would be a fantastic summer treat for them that was also fairly healthy. So, I thought it would be a perfect candidate for a Pinterest projects feature.
I grabbed a cup of yogurt that I had at the house to get started.

H’s class has been learning about famous artists over the past month or so. One way they have been introducing the kids to the art is by having the kids use a famous artwork as inspiration for their own. The class staged a big art show to let the parents see what the kids have been up to. It was lots of fun seeing what H has been doing in class. Of course, I took a million pictures…enjoy 🙂

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Scotts® for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
I have a black thumb. Don’t believe me? Ask the Japanese maple in my front yard. Or maybe the boxwood. Or the Japanese Pencil. I’ve single handedly managed to kill them all. Ok, I did have help with the Japanese Maple (thanks Mom!) but all the other ones are my doing. We won’t even start to talk about how quickly I can destroy an herb plant.
So, what do I do to still have pretty flowers and great herb plants? I’ve been researching different potting soils to see if I can maybe give my plants a fighting chance. Miracle-Gro Expand ‘n Gro™ definitely sounds like the perfect option to help me out.
It retains more 50% more moisture than normal potting soils which means they are less in danger of dying of thirst. On the flip side, this will also help prevent them from being over watered too. I promise you that I always seem to go to one extreme or another. Just call me Goldilocks…either too much water or just not enough.
Another perk: It’s feeds for 6 months. That means I don’t have to add additional plant food to my plants to keep them healthy and thriving. I barely have time to feed myself these days much less remember to feed my plants!
Want even more info on how Expand ‘n Gro™ can help your plants thrive and your garden grow bigger and better fruits and vegetables (or, if you are like me, grow anything at all!)? Check out the video.
Ok, so tell me all about what you are planting this Spring? Do you have a natural green thumb? Or is it completely black like mine?

I am always stuck when it comes to what to take for lunch. I want to try to take something healthy but always have a terrible time when I pack a salad to go. I saw a pretty cool idea over on Pinterest and figured it was worth a try.
The idea is that, as long as your dressing and lettuce are at opposite ends, you can make your salad in advance and it will stay fresh. Mathlete, the ex fast food worker, was doubtful.
I didn’t have a mason jar hanging around that was the right size so I just grabbed a 2 cup plastic container.
