Delicious Recipes to Keep my Family of Four Happy and Full
Back in February, I shared with you some of the items I had ordered and received from Pick Your Plum. These little notebooks weren’t pictured in that post I had picked them up from the daily flash site too.
They are so handy to keep in the car or in my purse but I wanted to dress up the plain brown cardboard front a little. Enter Martha…or at least her stencils.

My blogger friend, Marilyn, did this amazing project called 13 Ounces of Love. She puts together little packages for her blog friends and sends them in the mail. Take a look at a few of her packages before she took them to the post office.

It was such a fun treat to get something that Marilyn put together and mailed to me…someone she doesn’t technically “know”.

I had a fun time with H sorting through the conversation hearts! And, I’ve already done a project with the stickers {more on that later!}

We’ve been super busy in the house…especially the kitchen! {Warning: All this stuff has been happening at night so the pics are less than stellar. I am still learning!)
Our newest update comes in the form of some swanky new lighting. We have a mixture of recessed lights, pendants over the island and a fixture over the breakfast nook. The recessed lights are great but the others needed some attention.
Let’s start with the island. The existing lights had a frosted globe to them where the frosted part was actually coming off!
It didn’t help that they were hung way too low so lots of food debris made them pretty yucky too.
We started by removing those lights and attaching the new pendants.The crazy builders of our house though didn’t make it so easy for us. They had a square junction box where a round one should be.

Tomorrow marks the official beginning of Spring! Along with the beautiful weather {and currently some seasonal allergies}, spring brings with it a sudden urge to clean the house.
My two wonderful kiddos, H and E, bring with them messes both big and small. I’m sure when you see these darling faces
you are thinking that there is no way they could make big messes at all. It is the angelic vibe they give off. It’s all a ruse though because they are definitely capable of destroying a house in no time flat. Want some evidence?

My wreath obsession is no secret around here. I can point you to several examples {like here, here, and here} where I have made multiple wreaths in a short time period. Mathlete actually complains that he always comes home to a new wreath. This one last went up yesterday after our St. Patrick’s Day wreath came down and I actually plan to leave it up for a few weeks until Easter comes. {Shocker, I know}
