At the beginning of each spring, I buy a basil plant with the hopes that it will give me enough basil to enjoy throughout the summer. Last year, it died 2 weeks in. This year, it is WAY overproducing so I have a TON of basil. When one has a bunch of basil, it is always best to make some basil walnut pesto with it.
