Move over turkey sandwich. These recipes for using the yummy leftovers from the Thanksgiving holiday go way beyond a simple turkey sandwich. While I love a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, I always look forward to the Thanksgiving leftovers too. I love using them to create new recipes that are so tasty and ensure no extra food goes to waste.

Oh my gosh, you all! I can’t believe that I just totally FORGOT the link party last week. Seriously…so ridiculous on my part. We went to see the US Olympic Gymnastics Team perform as part of their Kellogg’s tour and I didn’t get home until midnight. Then, we had breakfast with Santa on Friday morning and I just totally forgot. Shame no me.

I don’t know about you but I feel like November just completely flew by. Halloween seemed like days ago and here we are a week away from Thanksgiving. Crazy! Of course, I can’t complain but so much because this is my favorite time of year. I definitely look forward to time with family and friends and my favorite holiday recipes. I’ve gathered over 20 amazing ones for you so get ready for your mouth to water.
My favorite part of fall is all the delicious roasted squash. From soups to salads to pasta, I use so much squash between October and March that it is ridiculous. Roasted squash is definitely my favorite and I’ve been adding it to my lunch salads. I was thinking of an easy appetizer for the holidays and instantly knew I wanted to make roasted butternut squash crostini!

I am really fortunate to have an amazing group of ladies that I call friends. Unfortunately, our schedules get so crazy that it can be difficult to get together regularly. We do our best though, and have girls’ nights as much as possible. Sometimes that means a brunch at home or a jewelry party instead of a standard trip out. But no matter what we are doing, the conversation is always great, the food is always delicious and, most importantly, the drinks, like this Tangerine Lemonade Smash, are phenomenal!

With all of the heavy dishes that come with the holidays, I always look to include a delicious salad to lighten things up. This year, I am skipping my traditional lettuce salad and going with a kale pomegranate salad instead.

One of our favorite things about fall is going to the local fall festivals. From kettle corn to candied apples, it is just so much fun enjoying all the delicious food in between hay rides and corn mazes. One of my favorites is the glazed nut mix you can get at all of the fall festivals. Of course, I had to come home and make my own so we can continue to enjoy the tastes of fall at home. {Psst…this makes an AWESOME homemade gift idea too and the holidays are coming fast!}

Let’s talk Brussels sprouts. I absolutely hated them until about a year and half ago. I think a lot of people have a similar reaction to them because they’ve probably never had them prepared well. I can attest that preparation makes all the difference!
