Saturday wasn’t all tears and sadness. Baby E’s first birthday party was scheduled for Saturday afternoon and we figured the best thing for us was to be surrounded by family and friends. We were right!
Our house was filled with the sound of laughing children and talks amongst adults as everyone ate and celebrated the birth of our baby boy.
For his part, Baby E put on a show once the cake came out. We had given him a cake the night before, on his actual birthday, so he was a pro by the time this cake came out.
H was the dutiful big sister and helped him with candle though.
The cake wore him out so we had to save presents until a later date. It looks like he is going to be pretty good at opening them all though.
