Starting in September, pumpkins explode on the scene. There is pumpkin food {examples here and here} and tons of pumpkin crafts. I don’t think any other item says fall quite like a pumpkin…well, except maybe a leaf. BUT, pumpkins are way more fun to craft with. You can spend hours looking around the web at different ways to decorate a pumpkin, make something into a pumpkin or sew a pumpkin. I’ve spent all that time searching for you though and gathered 25 amazing pumpkin crafts.

Mini Burlap Wreath for Fall
What do you do when you are decorating for fall and your mantel is just missing something. There is a giant space in the middle of your favorite mirror and you have nothing on hand that works right. Go shopping? Well, that would be my first inclination too BUT I had a sleeping three year old and no parental back up…oh, and an overwhelming need to get this done now! So, I ran down to my craft area and gathered up a few random supplies to throw together a mini burlap wreath for fall. …
Halloween Crafts: Candy Corn Pennant Banner
Halloween is one of those holidays where decorating can go in two very different directions. Some people focus on the spooky and scary {think lots of skeletons and black} while others go more for the fun, non-scary stuff {candy corn and pumpkins}. We have two young kids so you can guess which way we tend to lean. This year, H is getting to the age where she likes to really be involved in just about everything that I am doing. So, we decided to focus some of our Halloween crafts on things she could easily help with like this candy corn pennant banner.

Spooky Eyeball Wreath
I was never really into Halloween decorating until I moved into our current neighborhood. In our townhouse, we always put out pumpkins and passed out candy to any trick or treaters that came by. When we moved into our current house, all that just seemed to be way too low key considering all the decorating that was going on around us. So, slowly, we’ve been accumulating decorations at the after holiday sales to add to our collection. Of course, it helps if you can make some of your decorations too so I created this spooky eyeball wreath this year.

Chalkboard Paint Pumpkins
Artificial pumpkins are one of those craft items that you can do so many things with…carve, cover, paint, etc. The list really does go and on. Last year, I used some washi tape to decorate one for part of my Halloween decorations. This year, I decided to create some chalkboard paint pumpkins so my kids could decorate them over and over again between now and Halloween.

Fall Burlap Baskets
You know when you have one of those weeks where all the days are jumbled and you just can’t get a grip on your schedule? Yeah…every week in September has seriously been like that for me. So much so that this post for fall burlap baskets almost didn’t happen {it is happening late but at least happening}. I had bought all of the supplies but just couldn’t find the time to sit down and work on them…much less photograph them! Thankfully, I snagged a few hours to work on some projects this past weekend and the baskets came together.

Fall Felt Leaf Wreath
September is always a funny month here. One day {yesterday} it still feels like summer with temperatures above 90 degrees. Then, the next {today} the temperature will top out in the 70s. It is really hard to feel like decorating for one season or another because you are constantly being thrown between two seasons. I didn’t let the hot weather stop me though from starting on my fall decorating. I used the heat as a reason to stay inside and test out my new hot glue gun instead creating my fall felt leaf wreath.…
Let’s Dig In – E’s Construction Birthday Party
The party bus left H’s Rainbow Barbie birthday party and dropped two very tired parents and two exhausted grandparents back at Casa de Just Us Four to prep for the next party: E’s Construction birthday party.

Housewarming Gifts: Stenciled Cork Coasters
I am always looking for new ideas for housewarming gifts. When I was making my chalkboard coasters, I thought that something a little simpler like cork coasters would also make a great housewarming gift too. Cork coasters are much lighter than the tile ones and also take up a lot less room!
So I grabbed some cork circles and got started with my homemade housewarming gift.
