Mini Burlap Wreath for Fall
What do you do when you are decorating for fall and your mantel is just missing something. There is a giant space in the middle of your favorite mirror and you have nothing on hand that works right. Go shopping? Well, that would be my first inclination too BUT I had a sleeping three year old and no parental back up…oh, and an overwhelming need to get this done now! So, I ran down to my craft area and gathered up a few random supplies to throw together a mini burlap wreath for fall. …
Chalkboard Paint Pumpkins
Artificial pumpkins are one of those craft items that you can do so many things with…carve, cover, paint, etc. The list really does go and on. Last year, I used some washi tape to decorate one for part of my Halloween decorations. This year, I decided to create some chalkboard paint pumpkins so my kids could decorate them over and over again between now and Halloween.

Fall Burlap Baskets
You know when you have one of those weeks where all the days are jumbled and you just can’t get a grip on your schedule? Yeah…every week in September has seriously been like that for me. So much so that this post for fall burlap baskets almost didn’t happen {it is happening late but at least happening}. I had bought all of the supplies but just couldn’t find the time to sit down and work on them…much less photograph them! Thankfully, I snagged a few hours to work on some projects this past weekend and the baskets came together.

Fall Felt Leaf Wreath
September is always a funny month here. One day {yesterday} it still feels like summer with temperatures above 90 degrees. Then, the next {today} the temperature will top out in the 70s. It is really hard to feel like decorating for one season or another because you are constantly being thrown between two seasons. I didn’t let the hot weather stop me though from starting on my fall decorating. I used the heat as a reason to stay inside and test out my new hot glue gun instead creating my fall felt leaf wreath.…
{Guest Post} Simple Nature Inspired Canvas Wall Art
You know when you find a blog that you just instantly love? That was how I felt when I first read The Happy Housie! Her motto is “Home wasn’t built in a day” and I think that is so important to remember! Today, she is sharing a great project for canvas wall art that would be so easy to make your own!

Hello readers of Just Us Four!! I am SO excited to be here today to share these fun and simple Nature Inspired Canvases with you. Thanks to Shannah for having me here! My name is Krista and I spend most of my bloggy time over at The Happy Housie. I called my blog this because I must admit to you that I am a bit of a “housie”… (think foodie but for houses). I love all things related to houses: decorating, DIY, organizing, crafting, gardening, and more. I love sharing projects and ideas, and especially love finding old pieces and fixing them up to make them vibrant and beautiful again.

{Guest Post} Design Inspiration through Photos
Ever wanted to take a trip around an awesomely decorated room while the owner is away to get some design inspiration? Well, today’s guest post does just that. A BIG thank you to Bliss for sharing some of the great ideas she found in her daughter’s room.

Hello Just Us Four readers, I’m Bliss and my blog Bliss Ranch is about DIY, a recipe now and then, and I toss in some silliness for good measure. Shannah has a lot on her plate and I’m taking my turn helping out by stepping up to that plate. Honestly, the mighty fine recipes she posts probably make lots of people have a lot on their plate, but that isn’t what’s keeping her busy although it might be what is adding a few pounds to folks’ mid section!
I decided that I was going to give Shannah’s readers a glimpse of something never shown on my own blog – ever. I laid in wait till my daughter was gone and sprang on her room with my camera.

Burlap Wrapped Cork Board
I love having a place to pin pictures or notes up neat my computer. I don’t love the way most cork boards look though because they are usually pretty plain. I decided to fix that though and made a burlap wrapped cork board.

H’s Room Update: Upcycled Paper Tray
Surgery put the brakes on changing H’s room to a bigger girl room but we are slowly moving forward. While I was resting comfortably with my pain meds and my knee propped up, painters came and changed her room from pink to a gorgeous citron green {selected by H herself}. Then, once I could move around a little bit, I took on a smaller project and upcycled a paper tray.
