Sundays are always days when I like to spend a little bit of extra time in the kitchen preparing a dinner for my family. I also usually do prep work for meals throughout the week too like cutting vegetables an slicing meats if necessary. My daughter has started watching all the youtube videos about baking. It is a girl and her mom baking these ridiculous cakes but she loves it. I love that it has inspired her to want to spend more time in the kitchen. When she asked to bake something recently, I was already brainstorming ideas for the Cooking for the Cure blog hop to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Of course, pink is the signature color for Breast Cancer Awareness so we decided to make strawberry Oreo cake mix cookies.

I am a huge salad fan! From kale salads to southwestern style salads, I love them all and take them for lunch a lot. Paleo Monday is taking a slightly different focus today! I was chatting with a friend of mine who is in the middle of her family’s first try at Whole30.
