Ok, so this is the Christmas home tour that almost didn’t happen. The loss of a week between Thanksgiving and Christmas really threw me for a loop and got me all behind. Add a trip to New York City for a weekend and our annual Christmas party and I’m lucky I even have presents purchased {we’ll just pretend at least one those is wrapped…mmm k?} Of course, I did decorate for Christmas so I wanted to share it with you. Wow, December has certainly come in quickly! I can hardly believe we are close to a week before Christmas. We took a trip to New York City earlier in the month and, ever since then, it feels like days go by in twos. My head is totally spinning with the thought of wrapping presents, cooking Christmas dinner and entertaining my kids during their winter break! I went searching for some craft ideas to do with my daughter while she was home and ended up putting together a collection of 50 fantastic Christmas and Winter craft ideas. They aren’t all kid friendly but they are all awesome and worth checking out!

I was out shopping the other day for wrapping paper because I am so woefully behind on wrapping my gifts. Sadly, I think all the good stuff has been picked over because I couldn’t find a single one I loved. So, I bought some solid colored paper and bags and decided to personalize them and make my own glittered wrapping supplies. Plus, this way I could get the kids involved in presents for their friends!

I’m a wreath failure, ya’ll. Yep…a total failure. I set out to make one of those gorgeous canning jar ring wreaths and totally failed. I think it was something to do with me being totally impatient but who knows. What I do know is that I was left with the 380 canning jar rings I purchased off of Craiglist ($10…score!) and no clue what to do with them. What’s a girl to do? Well, being the holidays, I decided it made perfect sense to add glitter to a bunch of them and use them as candle holders. Now, I am in love with glittered canning jar ring candle holders but still have like 350 more rings and no clue what to do with them. Ideas are appreciated!

Fudge is like THE Christmas time dessert for me. I think it is because my mom and grandma always made it in pretty much any variety you can imagine starting the day after Thanksgiving. There were always tins of it at my grandma’s house for us to enjoy during our visits.
