Organizing with Fabric Wrapped Binders
Back when school started {eons ago right?!}, our house was flooded with paperwork and I created artwork binders for each of our kids. Well, plain binders are pretty ugly and boring sitting on our a bookcases in the family room. Organizing the Odds and Ends with Trinity Home Storage
One of my New Year’s resolutions was to get our house more organized and clean up some of the odds and ends that resulted from us finishing our basement. I have spent most of January organizing different areas of our house including my craft room and our toy storage areas. We had a few places that still needed some attention though.
The first was our DVDs and video games. We had moved them into the basement from our family room but their old DVD holder didn’t fit into the space we had for them. So, they just lived on the floor for awhile.
When I was offered the chance to work with Trinity, makers of some awesome home storage products, I obviously jumped at the opportunity because it would help me with organizing some of my odds and ends and actually achieve success with one of my resolutions.

Do you get so busy with the shopping and prepping for Christmas that things start to fall through the cracks? Or maybe you want a good way to keep track of what to buy, when it is bought and given?
Each year, I create a spreadsheet where I list all of the people I buy gifts for and the budget for the gifts. Once they are purchased, they are assigned a receipt number and I track when they have been wrapped. It helps bring me peace of mine that all the gifts are purchased and make it under the tree.
Assigning a receipt number makes it easy to find the receipt in case an exchange is needed since I am pretty terrible at remembering to get gift receipts.

Kid’s Chore Charts
Our house just got a whole lot crazier with the start of school. Combine that with realizing H was probably old enough to start having some small responsibilities around the house and the idea for a set of kid’s chore charts was born.
I knew that I wanted to eventually integrate these into the chalkboard wall in our kitchen so I picked out these super cute magnetic boards with that in mind.
