We love pizza in our house. It gets baked up at least once per week. Of course, I always like to change things up so I decided to make some pull apart pizza bread instead of our traditional pizza.

Delicious Recipes to Keep my Family of Four Happy and Full
At the beginning of the year, I asked on my Facebook page what readers were looking for in the New Year from the blog. A friend of mine asked for more vegetarian recipes. Now, I’m a meat eater to the core {with the exception of a year stint as a vegetarian back in college} so this was definitely a challenge for me. I decided to start small and created stuffed sweet potato skins for a great vegetarian alternative to the traditional potato skins filled with bacon.

Ok, we are T minus 11 days until the BIG game. You know the one…the Super Bowl! I am not a huge football fan so I don’t get into the big game but I do get into the commercials and, more importantly, all the delicious foods! For me, pretty much any party is all about the food. From the time mid-November hits until after the Superbowl, parties happen weekend after weekend leaving you searching for what to make that everyone hasn’t had ten times already. I have a few go to recipes that I make for every party but like to change it up from time to time to keep it fresh. …

Remember how just yesterday it was July? Yeah…me too! I feel like August is absolutely flying by! Of course, having two birthdays back to back in our house doesn’t make time slow down at all. Double birthdays means the beginning of my August is always filled with invitations, R.S.V.P.s, party decorations and of course…food. You can’t have a party without delicious food! Even though the parties are for the kids, adults get the kids there/stay for the party and so should be rewarded with a bit of grown up food too! That’s where caramelized onion dip with bacon comes in…a combination of Philadelphia cream cheese, caramelized onions and bacon makes it the ultimate parent reward for enduring a 2+ hour birthday party.

The love for Tex-Mex and Mexican food in our house is pretty obvious! You can see it week after week in my What to Cook Wednesday weekly menus. Plus, we’re regulars at our local Mexican restaurant and you’ll always find salsa in the house.
Typically, I focus on more traditional salsa and guacamole {although, I have been known to make the guacamole with bacon!}, but I decided I wanted to try my hand at a salsa verde recipe for something a little different.
