Valentine’s is coming up so quickly {remember how fast Christmas came?!} and so it is time to start thinking about gift ideas. I’ve been thinking of a few things I would like and decided to five Valentine’s Day gifts for her that are sure to be hit.

A Gift in a Pinch – Easy Photo Gifts with the #WalgreensApp
This is the craziest time of year right? Days fly by and you have tons to do. Please tell me that it isn’t just me! I like to set goals for myself during the holidays so that I don’t get overly stressed. Say something like “I will wrap and mail all of the Christmas presents for my family in CA before the parcel post deadline of 12/14.” Of course, then I totally miss those deadlines and have to try and catch up. One of my other goals was to have all of my shopping done by the 15th of December. That would leave me ten days to get it all wrapped and where they needed to be. During all of the list checking, I realized I hadn’t gotten my husband anything! {Mathlete…if you are reading this, please stop reading now!}

Gift Giving – Thinking Outside of Box Store
“This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and WE’VE Built but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #GiftaStory http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO”
We all have them…special people in our lives who are nearly impossible to shop for. The father who buys himself everything…the grandmother who already has everything…the wonderful au pair who you know will eventually have to get anything you give back to their home country and is limited on suitcase space. You can probably guess that last one is me! Maya has been with us since July and she is beyond wonderful. Seriously, I could go on and on. As I was searching for gift ideas for her, I knew that what I chose needed to be special like her but also on the smaller side to make it easy to get back to Germany when the time came.

Gift Ideas: Flux Flap iPad Case
This post is sponsored by Flux Flap iPad Case. However, as always, all opinions and thoughts shared here are my own.
Now, I know you don’t typically get a non link party post from me on Friday but I am working on my holiday wish list and came across something that I thought you might be interested in as well. I know I always have a difficult time coming up with great gift ideas for myself so I thought you may be in the same boat too.

A Minnie Bow-Tique Welcome Celebration – H’s #DreamParty
We have a new family member in our household! We are so excited to have Maya, our au pair, joining us for a year. I know I briefly mentioned it last week but I wanted to share with you the welcome celebration we threw for her after she arrived! Hailey chose a Minnie Bow-Tique #DreamParty for the theme and we had so much fun putting it together while Maya was out playing with E.

Weekday Breakfast Solutions with #TysonBreakfast
On a normal workday, I am in the office by 6:00am and starving by 7:00am. My co-worker and I will head down to the cafe on the first floor and grab a quick breakfast before getting back to work. Since my surgery, I’ve been working from home with no co-workers and no cafe. I’ve had to search for some weekday breakfast solutions to make sure I start my day off right!

Mom’s Payday: Spoiling Mom for More than One Day
Mother’s Day is always a day when I {and most moms} get completely spoiled. It starts from being able to sleep in and ends with a dinner out where I do no cooking or cleaning. One important thing for me is that we spend the day as a family and enjoy #mealstogether. This Mother’s Day came with a “special” gift of an knee injury for me. Well, technically, the injury happened back in April but got really bad as May progressed. My family totally took over on all the things that I normally do and truly made it like it was Mother’s Day all month.
One big thing I do for our household is most of the cooking. Mathlete is awesome at so many things but kitchen duty isn’t one of them. However, with my big, swollen knee, I haven’t been able to do as much standing and cooking as I usually do. Mathlete and the kids jumped right in and took over.
First, they headed to the store to pick up some supplies: Tyson crispy chicken strips and some yummy sides to go along with them.

A Glimpse: Luckett’s Groundhog Day Sale
Every so often I share glimpses into the non-cooking/non-crafting side of my life. As you all know, my birthday was last week. Mathlete totally spoiled me by starting the “celebration” a week early in agreeing to go antique shopping with me at the Luckett’s Groundhog Day Sale.

A Glimpse: Valentine’s Countdown Fun
We’re busy here at the Just Us Four house: school, work, birthday celebrations (Shopaholic’s birthday is the day before mine!) and Valentine’s Day countdowns.
Each one of the little envelopes from our countdown calendar contains a note. Some of the notes are just little phrases but some include activities. Yesterday, we had one that said
I stopped at our favorite store, Wegman’s, on the way home to try and find the perfect “yummy treat” for our mini-celebration. There are so many delicious items that it can be hard to choose.
