It’s time to check out some of the yummy {and ridiculously good looking} food circling the web this week. Feast your eyes on some of these dinner ideas for the coming week.

Sunday: It is a rarity that I pull out the slow cooker for a Sunday but this week is an exception. It’s my favorite {non biological} child’s birthday so we will be spending time with them. Making slow cooker chicken adobo will give us something yummy to come home to.
…
Can you believe we are already at 41 weeks of the WTCW feature? Time flies by so quickly. Let’s see what great recipes are on the list this week.
[Rice and Wheat], [How Sweet Eats], [Good Life Eats] |
Sunday: I’ve been trying to keep our menus filled with diverse recipes. I think these pide turkish pizzas are perfect for that and look tasty to boot.
Monday: I’ve never really considered stuffing sweet potatoes like I would a regular potatoes. Seeing these bbq chicken stuffed sweet potato skins makes me rethink that though!
…
Whew! This week is flying by and I’m all thrown off since we had the holiday on Monday. Let’s talk about some yummy food though to help us get through hump day!
[BevCooks], [Cheeky Kitchen], [Reluctant Entertainer], [Taste and Tell] |
Sunday: Doesn’t this beef and lentil curry look delicious?! I can’t wait to give it a try.
Monday: Veggie night and we’re doing veggie pot pie soup. It is a great way to combine my soup “addiction” with meatless Monday.
…
It is Wednesday again! Isn’t it amazing how quickly a week goes by? I hope you have your paper and pencil {or maybe Pin It button*} ready to because we are about to get into another What to Cook Wednesday!

Sunday: I love hearty meals that remind me of Sunday dinner at home. Spicy stewed beef with creamy cheddar grits is a great example of just such a dish.
…
It is that time again! Grab your grocery list and let’s do this.

Sunday: I love quinoa so I am always searching for new uses for it. Quinoa cakes with lemon, olive and parsley sound like a great option to try.
…
Happy Wednesday. Let’s get cooking (or at least drooling over recipes to make)!
[Erin’s Food Files], [Fake Ginger], [Sweet Basil] |
Sunday: It is Superbowl day! In addition to these 15 great Superbowl eats, I am thinking a bowl of chipotle black bean soup sounds great.
Monday: Meatless Monday gets some tex-mex flavor in butternut squash enchiladas.
…
Wednesday came fast this week thanks to a little holiday on Monday! I hope you are ready for some yummy meal ideas though.
[Framed Cooks], [Pioneer Woman], [Leites Culinaria] |
Sunday: Lets start a new week with a hearty meal like Chicken and Dumplings…with homemade dumplings!
Monday: We can’t skip our Mexican night and this week we are going to give beef enchilada casserole a try to take a break from chicken.
Tuesday: With temperatures topping out in the 30s these days, soup sounds better than ever. A tuscan bean soup with shrimp sounds like a great choice for this week’s second soup appearance.
Wednesday: I stumbled across this recipe for Gung Bao chicken and just had to add it to my list.
[Dessert Now, Dinner Later], [Skinny Taste], [The Kitchn] |
Thursday: Mathlete is a huge fan of anything peanut so peanut sauced linguine with broccoli sounds like a great option for our pasta night.
Friday: Our crockpot doesn’t get any rest this week because I’m going to give crockpot chicken la criolla a try.
Saturday: I love introducing new foods to the kids and this week I’m going to try rapini with orecchiette to introduce a new green.

It is hot! Have you noticed? If not, be thankful because we’ve been averaging around 100 degrees here most days. How weather makes me crave cool dishes like salads or things that I know won’t heat up the house while they cook.

Sunday: I’ve mentioned before that we try to have a big Sunday dinner with our closest friends and family. Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken combines my desire for a low heat cooking method with that Sunday family dinner feel.
Monday: I foresee my slow cooker getting a workout because Hoisin Pork Wraps with Peanut Slaw sounds too good to resist. I’ll probably have to half the recipe though or invite people over to share.
Tuesday: Although I will have to boil water for it, Soba Noodle Salad with Bok Choy sounds like a refreshing summer dish.
Wednesday: Salads with grains are a great way to make a main course out of ingredients that would typically be use for a side dish. Whole wheat orzo and grilled vegetables accomplishes this while staying true to that summery feel of a salad.
1-2 [Food Network], 3 [Williams-Sonoma] |
Thursday: A week of summer meals isn’t complete without Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad.
Friday: Hopefully Mathlete will have done all of the dishes by now because I’m going to need the crockpot insert to make Smoke House Short Ribs.
Saturday: Time to fire up the grill and throw on some Chimichurri Steaks.

**Just as a note: I did contact Gina to let her know I was a fan and would be featuring her recipes for this WTCW. However, she did not request, pay for or in any way suggest that I include her as a feature of WTCW. I just love her recipes and have had great success in making them.**
