Friday nights are usually when we eat pizza in our house. But, I get bored of the same old takeout pizza order each week and like to change it up with make your pizza nights at home. One of my favorites ones to make at home is this chicken alfredo flatbread.
On especially busy nights, we use a pre-made flatbread for the crust. It is super delicious and makes getting dinner finished quick too. Our store has flatbreads in several different sizes so we can make one pizza for the whole family or each have a smaller one to customize.
The topping options for this flatbread pizza are endless. I like add red peppers, mushrooms, and bacon but definitely choose your favorite toppings to go along with the chicken and Alfredo sauce.
Did you know that, in Italy, Alfredo is NOTHING like what we know here in the states. There, Alfredo is just a delicious combination of butter, pasta, and cheese. Here, in the US, we know it as a creamier sauce that typically includes heavy cream.
Feel free to use your favorite store bought Alfredo sauce here to keep the recipe quick and easy. Of course, if you want to make a homemade sauce, I highly recommend this homemade version.
Chicken Alfredo Flatbread
A quick and easy homemade pizza recipe that the entire family will love.
Ingredients
- 2 cooked chicken breasts, cut into pieces
- 1 large flatbread
- 1/4 cup Alfredo sauce
- 1/2 red pepper, sliced
- 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 Tbsp crumbled, cooked bacon
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with foil. Place flatbread on top.
- Spread Alfredo sauce on the flatbread. Top with chicken breast pieces, red pepper slices, mushrooms and bacon. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- Bake in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
