Dinner will cook while you are away thanks to this recipe for Crockpot Paleo Chinese Pork. Avoid the take out and enjoy Chinese flavors at home instead!
Each week, we usually end up with at least one crockpot meal on our menu. I’m gone during dinner time on both Tuesdays and Thursdays and I know that Mathlete isn’t going to want to put any effort into actually making a dinner when he gets home. So, I get up and prepare something that cooks all day and is ready when he is home.
Since going paleo-ish, it has been a lot harder to find recipes we enjoy that also work in the crockpot. This Crockpot Paleo Chinese Pork that I made is definitely a winner though. It’s a great paleo diet recipe! It turned out to be a perfect recipe to add to my whole30 meal plan!
The great thing about doing this pork dish easy paleo recipe in the slow cooker is you get dinner and leftovers! I’ve used the leftovers from this recipe on top of salads and even in Asian style tacos {with jicama or cauliflower shells}.
I love this over cauliflower rice to mimic Asian take-out food. You could even do a cauliflower “fried” rice alone with this.
What are some of your favorite crockpot whole30 recipe meals? Do you use the slow cooker often when you know you won’t be around to cook?

This sounds delicious- I am in New Zealand and have never heard of coconut aminos before so not sure where I would buy it, is there a substitution available?

Hi Lauren – Coconut aminos are a paleo substitute for soy sauce. If you still eat soy, soy sauce or tamari would be a great substitute. I know you can order them from http://www.coconutsecret.com/aminos2.html but not sure if they ship internationally. You could also try making your own using 1 part balsamic vinegar + 1 part toasted sesame oil + 2 parts fish sauce. Hope that helps!

Does the applesauce go in during step #1?
Shannah Coe says
Sorry about that! It should be added in step one. I will update it to reflect that.
