This is the craziest time of year right? Days fly by and you have tons to do. Please tell me that it isn’t just me! I like to set goals for myself during the holidays so that I don’t get overly stressed. Say something like “I will wrap and mail all of the Christmas presents for my family in CA before the parcel post deadline of 12/14.” Of course, then I totally miss those deadlines and have to try and catch up. One of my other goals was to have all of my shopping done by the 15th of December. That would leave me ten days to get it all wrapped and where they needed to be. During all of the list checking, I realized I hadn’t gotten my husband anything! {Mathlete…if you are reading this, please stop reading now!}
Now, he had definitely said he didn’t want anything but I can’t stand the thought of him having nothing to open. BUT, since I was already behind {ahem…CA Christmas gifts still aren’t wrapped}, I didn’t exactly have much time to go shopping. Then, I remembered that he loves photos of our kids. Hmmm…we had just taken our daughter to New York City for the first time so pictures from that trip would be perfect! I was sitting at gymnastics practice playing on my phone and found I could actually create and order easy photo gifts from the Walgreens in my neighborhood using the photos on my phone or in my Instagram profile.
I started by visiting the Play Store {for Android} and downloading the Walgreens mobile app. A simple search pulled it up and it downloaded in seconds.
From there, creating your gift is easy. Select the type of gift, the layout and the photos from your device. Put it all together and click order!
My gift was ready so quickly and I was able to get it on my way home from gymnastics. I just ran into the Walgreens and stopped by the photo booth to grab my collage. The photo collage I created looked great and I took it home to add to the gift pile that needs wrapping. Whew…no mall visit or electronics store needed.
It is now waiting under the tree for the big day!
Do you like to create and give photo gifts for the holidays? Have you ever created a photo gift or collage using Instagram or mobile phone photos?

The photo printing can be a knock down drag out task. I love that you can create what you need via an app, instead of standing at a kiosk for an hour. I will certainly take a peek at this for the grandparents! Xo

We take so many pictures on our phone now so being able to pull those pictures into collages, photo gifts or even just prints is awesome.

I love personalized gifts and have given my hubby several gifts from Walgreen’s photo department. They always do a great job. I don’t have their app, but I will install it since I use their services so much.
