Recently, we started collecting books for our local library as part of the Champions for Kids SIMPLE Service Project and the Nickelodeon Big Help Book Drive (#NickCFK).
We placed a collection bin on our front porch to collect donations in addition to the books we would be donating.
Then, I sent out a message to all of our friends on Facebook announcing the book drive.
We had lots of friends and neighbors who contacted me and inquired about the best time to drop off the books. The books started piling up which was so exciting!
Our neighbors stopped by and dropped off more books.
We collected our donations and took them up to the library for donation.
You can see more of our collection and donation in my Google+ album. |
We were all so excited to donate books to the library so that we can help provide access to reading for those less fortunate. H told all of her friends about her SIMPLE Service Project and how she collected books for others!
