Somewhere in the middle of the party planning, back to school prep, knee surgery recovery and a thousand other things, we started redoing H’s room. Honestly, this is the room redo that was meant to be like a week and has taken over a month and it is still.not.done. I’d love to be sharing with you the awesome finished product and her glorious reaction but instead I’m here sharing something a little smaller: painted paper boxes. Ok, more than a little smaller….
How is that for impact?! Haha…really, I know this seems like such a small little thing in a giant room redo but it is at least a step in the right direction 🙂
These came about when I stuck on the couch after surgery and I was DYING to do something…anything…that wasn’t related to watch reality tv or reruns of Law & Order: SVU. A girl can only take so much. So, I grabbed had someone get me the little paper mache boxes I had bought and the paint samples I had bought for H’s room. And I painted…
Once I was done, I had no idea what I was going to do with them until I remember that H has a gazillion hair bow, hair ties, etc. So, I decided to make these boxes for her hair stuff and tied little labels on the front.
I loaded the boxes up with her favorite hair accessories and sent the others to the bin under the bathroom sink.
I know this is a super small project but I can tell you that, in the moment it was done, I felt like I had just built a house from scratch! It is the little things 🙂
How do you store you kid’s hair accessories? Do you find satisfaction in getting small projects done?

Thanks! I thought they turned out pretty cute and now we don’t have hair bows everywhere. Next up, oatmeal canister headband hold a la Pinterest.

Pretty boxes! The labels are great touch!
I know small projects could mean more, if they get used everyday!

Thanks! I was so excited to stumble upon those labels in my craft stash. I thought they were a cute little addition.
