As a parent, going out to dinner can be stressful. Sometimes there are a long waits to deal with or you might be worried that the options won’t be right for your kids picky palates. With a busy three year old, we need to be really strategic in the way we plan our dinners out because we know we have a limited window for the dinner to be successful and not just one big mess. In our area, we have a great resource called Teddy’s Table that is made for parents to help them find great restaurants to enjoy as a family.
Teddy’s Table offers parents {or grandparents, nannies, etc} information on DC area restaurants with review from other families about restaurants so it is easy to find a place that everyone will enjoy. The website has been recently redesigned to to make it even easier to find reviews on a place that you may be considering.
From their homepage, you can search by location and/or restaurant name. If you click the advanced search button, you get a bunch more options to help you in your search.
We were thinking of taking a little day trip into Arlington to visit some of our old favorite places and I knew we’d be looking to eat lunch while we were there. I entered in my search criteria and it pulled up a list of restaurants for me.
I scanned the list and landed on Mexicali Blues so I just clicked on the name of the restaurant to get even more information.
After our vacation a few years ago where there were literally NO changing rooms in the men’s room, I am always looking to make sure that we both get equal opportunity to deal with the diapers from our three year old. Being able to see, in advance, if a restaurant has that amenity is really awesome and helps us plan a little better.
If you are a parent {or anyone who dines with kids}, this is definitely a resource you want to check out. Today, they are sponsoring a giveaway for $50 to the Great American Restaurant Group {think delicious places like Carlyle, Coastal Flats and other yummy restaurants} which is perfect for local readers. Just be sure, if you win, to check out the reviews on Teddy’s Table before you go!
