I am such a salted caramel fan. If there is salted caramel on the menu, you can bet I am going to try it. Put it with chocolate and game over. Awhile back, I discovered the most amazing recipe for chocolate salted caramel puddle cookies. They were a ton of work but I made them on a weekly basis. We got through a lot of milk here in the Just Us Four house. Like 3+ gallons of milk each week. Chocolate milk is a hot commodity too because we all love it. I was in the store the other day and saw that TruMoo now makes Chocolate Marshmallow milk and it totally got me in the mood for milk and cookies. Even though we are in the middle of the polar vortex, my daughter is still begging for ice cream, milkshakes and other frozen treats so I decided to combine those items and make her a s’mores chocolate smoothie as a treat using the TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow milk. Sadly, our store was sold out of the Chocolate Marshmallow flavor but we used the regular chocolate this time around. I know this recipe will be even more amazing with the Chocolate Marshmallow version!

Chocolate covered strawberries are my absolute favorite treat. I love getting them for Valentine’s Day because they are my special treat for the holiday. Every year, we order chocolate covered strawberries from the candy store. It is super expensive and, although they are so delicious, I decided to try something different this year and create some Chocolate Strawberry Hearts.

Sweet treats are pretty much all I want during Christmas time. From fudge to cookies to cheesecakes and candies, I just can’t get enough. Another one of my favorites is definitely different kinds of “bark” candy. I was trying to find new flavors to make into bark and that is how this toffee and chocolate eggnog bark was born.

Fudge is like THE Christmas time dessert for me. I think it is because my mom and grandma always made it in pretty much any variety you can imagine starting the day after Thanksgiving. There were always tins of it at my grandma’s house for us to enjoy during our visits.

Ok, the calendar officially says September which means we are heading into fall very soon! Hard to believe, right? We’re still experiencing 80+ degree days but I know those crisp fall days are coming. S’mores are one of those snacks that represent this transition from summer to fall so well. Typically they are roasted over an open flame which happen often when you haul out the fire pit {firewood} to cope with the cooler evenings that mark the end of summer. Sadly, I don’t have a place {yet} for a fire pit so I am stuck taking pity from neighbors finding other ways to get my s’mores in. After playing around with s’mores pizza, I decided to give s’mores in a jar a try.
