Jalapeno poppers are one of those appetizers that you know EVERYONE will love. It is the perfect combination of spicy and cheesy in a little handheld bite. I see them at so many parties and actually served them for the first time this year at our annual Christmas party. Then, I started thinking about a way to easily take all those flavors on the go for tailgating or potluck parties {March madness, anyone?}. Turning the traditional appetizer into Jalapeno Popper Dip that you make ahead and bake whenever you want OR throw in the crockpot was what I came up with!

So, we’ve made it through Valentine’s Day and probably have a few extra pounds from the delicious dinner and yummy chocolates to show for it. Me, I’m recovering from a trip to Vegas where we ate and drank so much delicious but definitely unthealthy things 😉
So, it is time to get back on the healthier food wagon stat because bathing suit season will be here before you know it {shudder}. Breakfast is definitely one of the best places to start when working to make healthier choices. This post is an announcement about the new seasonalChocolate Marshmallow Milk that’s in stores this month only! We can’t wait to try it! For this post TruMoo’s Chocolate Milk was used and is available year-round

We got through a lot of milk here in the Just Us Four house. Like 3+ gallons of milk each week. Chocolate milk is a hot commodity too because we all love it. I was in the store the other day and saw that TruMoo now makes Chocolate Marshmallow milk and it totally got me in the mood for milk and cookies. Even though we are in the middle of the polar vortex, my daughter is still begging for ice cream, milkshakes and other frozen treats so I decided to combine those items and make her a s’mores chocolate smoothie as a treat using the TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow milk. Sadly, our store was sold out of the Chocolate Marshmallow flavor but we used the regular chocolate this time around. I know this recipe will be even more amazing with the Chocolate Marshmallow version!

The BIG game is this weekend and I know people around the country are getting super exited. Sure, there will be football on but game time brings along so much more like parties with friends, awesome commercials {honestly, the main reason I watch!} and of course: food! Game day food has special place in every man’s heart. Beer, pizza and wings are what first come to mind when you think men and football. 🙂 Of course, many times the women in the house want a little more variety and turn to places like Pinterest to help them find things to serve at the game day party! At the beginning of the year, I asked on my Facebook page what readers were looking for in the New Year from the blog. A friend of mine asked for more vegetarian recipes. Now, I’m a meat eater to the core {with the exception of a year stint as a vegetarian back in college} so this was definitely a challenge for me. Ahhh, Valentine’s Day. It is a great day to remind the one that you love exactly how much you love them by spending way too much money on overpriced flowers and a fancy dinner out in a crowded restaurant that is serving ‘eh’ tasting food because the kitchen is just so busy.
