One of our goals for 2014 was to save more money. Part of that comes with making changes to our lifestyle so that we have more extra money hanging around to actually save. One of our ways to to do that: eating dinner at home. We’d recently fallen into a routine where we ate out pretty much every meal from Friday through Sunday. Our new plan was to limit that to one dinner and one lunch per week. That meant I needed a plan to get dinner on the table even on our busiest nights. Want to know how I do it?

Wednesday is always an exciting day for me. It’s the day when I get these in my mailbox:
I am not one of the Extreme Coupon ladies you see on tv but I do try my best to match my weekly menu to what is on sale and/or what I have coupons for. No stock piles of 40 bags of chips and 1000 bottles of salad dressing lurk around my house though. I like to call it responsible couponing because I only use them to purchase what I actually need and will use. I like to think that I have decent enough eating habits that I will never need 52 bottles of Malox.
