I’ve partnered with our friends at Megan Media and Tropicana for this #MixedWithTrop post. The opinions and ideas expressed here are my own.
I am really fortunate to have an amazing group of ladies that I call friends. Unfortunately, our schedules get so crazy that it can be difficult to get together regularly. We do our best though, and have girls’ nights as much as possible. Sometimes that means a brunch at home or a jewelry party instead of a standard trip out. But no matter what we are doing, the conversation is always great, the food is always delicious and, most importantly, the drinks, like this Tangerine Lemonade Smash, are phenomenal!
This time of year is especially busy for me because my daughter’s gymnastics is starting. So, when prepping for the most recent girl’s night in that I hosted, I wanted a drink that would be fun, yummy and super easy to make because I was limited on time! Tropicana’s Tangerine Lemonade made the perfect starter to my cocktail.
With a just a few simple ingredients, I had the perfect party cocktail that could be made by the pitcher or individually to order. Of course, for those wanting to skip the alcohol, the Tangerine Lemonade was yummy on its own. With no artificial sweeteners or flavors, it is the all around perfect accompaniment to social gatherings.
Ingredients for Tangerine Lemonade Smash by the Pitcher:
1 1.75L bottle Tropicana Tangerine Lemonade
5 cups bourbon
Handful of mint leaves
1 tangerine, seeded and sliced
1 lemon, seeded and sliced
Let’s Make It:
1. In a large pitcher, combine lemonade, bourbon, mint leaves, tangerine slices and lemon slices. Stir well. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Ingredients for Tangerine Lemonade Smash by the Glass:
4 oz Tropicana Tangerine Lemonade
3 oz bourbon
Mint leaves
1 tangerine wedge
1 lemon wedge
Let’s Make It:
1. Combine lemonade and bourbon in a cocktail shaker. Shake and then pour over ice. Garnish with mint, tangerine wedge and lemon wedge.
I know many people like to mix lemonade with vodka but I loved the taste of the bourbon with the hint of tangerine in the lemonade. It was definitely a great pairing. Plus, the mint adds a little something extra to make it look like it took some effort to put it together. I like serving it in gold speckled glasses for a little hint of elegance. Just what you want for the perfect party with the girls: easy but elegant.
What are your favorite go to party drinks? Have you tried the Tropicana Tangerine Lemonade? While out shopping, I also noticed there was a Tropicana Watermelon drink that I am going to have to work into a cocktail for our next party.
