I mentioned last week that I would be attempting to take pictures and share some of the recipes from the WTCW feature in action. I actually managed to accomplish this one night this week when I made Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff (clearly I am off schedule but we are trying to shape up the house for an appraisal so my normal cooking time is being spent cleaning).
I started the crock pot in the morning before I left for work. Sorry there are no pictures of that step but it was pretty darn early!
I came home to the delicious smell of beef broth, mushrooms, onions and wine simmering in the pot.
I gathered the ingredients for the “stroganoff” step and whisked them together.
That mixture went straight into the crockpot which I let simmer for another 30 minutes or so while I boiled my egg noodles.
The noodles finished about the same crockpot mixture thickened up and it was time to eat!
Mathlete picked out the mushrooms but otherwise declared it a winner! It was definitely easy and mostly hands off which makes it a winner in my book too.
